Nail sculpting with forms and tips. Nail sculpting with forms involves using a temporary template under the nail in order to achieve our desired nail shape. The template is then removed, and nails are filed and buffed, leaving you with a perfectly sculpted set of nails. Nail tips, widely used, are glued pre-shaped nails. Depending on the nail plate, sometimes one technique is more suitable than the other.

Everyone is different, and some can be more sensitive to the UV light when the hard gel is curing. In technical terms, this process is called a heat spike and is completely normal; it is a result of chemical bonds being formed during the curing process. To avoid this from happening, I first ask customers to cure the nails under the UV light for a few seconds, then rest and then cure them again for a full 60 seconds.

Also, for those who are extremely sensitive to the UV light and concerned about the heat spike, I have an “Ace up my sleeve” by using a special type of gel specifically formulated not to feel a thing!

I often get asked if the products I use are HEMA-free, so my answer is absolutely, YES! If you previously had a reaction to gels and are concerned about getting a new set of nails, then the sensible thing to do is to have a patch test 1 or 2 days before your treatment, so that we can monitor for 24-48 hours before booking your appointment.

I use 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free gels, and the brand is registered by The Vegan Society and contains no animal-derived ingredients, so fully vegan-friendly.

Should a nail break, I can fix it free of charge if it is within a week after treatment. Any accident after a week is subject to a fee. Please contact me should any issue arise. Remember, your nails are Jewels, not tools!

A set of nails typically lasts 2-3 weeks, but I have customers’ nails set done by me who have 4-5 week retention.
